Chapter 184 The Valley of Oblivion (Part 2)

The two walked along the winding path to the bottom of the valley, where there was an ancient temple half-buried underground.

The temple's stone gates were covered with strange symbols, which appeared to be an ancient script, but neither of them had ever seen it before.

These symbols may hold the secrets of the ancient Tianzhou civilization and are key to understanding history.

Yun Muhan carefully touched these symbols, his fingers gently tracing each engraving, trying to feel the wisdom of the ancients and the echo of history.

Dugu Jianling then searched the area around the temple for possible entrances or other clues.

Its sharp eyes examined every stone and every inch of land, leaving no place unexplored as to where secrets might be hidden.

He knew that these ancient ruins often concealed passages to deeper secrets, secrets that might be the key to their search for answers.

Although their work was slow and difficult, neither of them gave up.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling cooperated seamlessly; their wisdom and courage were their greatest weapons in exploring the unknown.

After spending several days, Yun Muhan finally discovered a hidden mechanism by chance. As he gently pressed the mechanism, the stone door slowly opened, revealing a stone staircase leading underground.

The stone steps were covered with dust and cobwebs, as if silently telling the story of the passage of time.

The stone steps led to a huge underground labyrinth, whose walls were also covered with mysterious symbols that shimmered with an ancient glow in the dim light, seemingly guiding their exploration.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling lit torches, the flames flickering in the darkness, illuminating their path and dispelling the surrounding shadows.

The maze was filled with traps and mechanisms; every step was fraught with danger. The symbols on the walls seemed to warn them, reminding them to proceed with caution. Yun Muhan had to proceed cautiously, remaining constantly vigilant.

He was filled with tension, but even more so with anticipation for the unknown. He observed his surroundings and meticulously recorded each step he took to avoid getting lost in the intricate maze.

As they ventured deeper into the labyrinth, an ancient and mysterious aura filled the air, as if time itself had frozen. Each time they rounded a corner, a faint echo would reach their ears, seemingly whispering ancient secrets.

Deep within the labyrinth, they finally discovered a vast circular hall. The hall was spacious, its walls also covered with inscriptions, and in the center stood a stone platform upon which rested an ancient book.

This book is made of an unknown material that has remained intact for thousands of years. Its surface is as smooth as a mirror and emits a faint luster, as if it is attracting their attention.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling exchanged a glance, both understanding that this book might contain an important secret. They slowly walked towards the stone platform, their hearts filled with anticipation and nervousness.

Yun Muhan reached out and gently touched the book cover, feeling a warm energy emanating from the book, as if it were responding to his touch.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling carefully perused the ancient book. They discovered that it not only recorded the history of the Tianzhou Continent, but also contained a prophecy about "Apocalypse".

The prophecy states that when the power of the three kingdoms on the Tianzhou continent becomes unbalanced, outsiders will arrive, revealing the truth of history and guiding Tianzhou towards a new destiny.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling realized that they might be the outsiders mentioned in the prophecy. This discovery made their hearts race and they felt an unprecedented sense of mission.

In interpreting the prophecy, they also discovered a secret—the reason why the Earth Kingdom has been slow to occupy Tianzhou is because they have been searching for an ancient power that is sealed somewhere in Tianzhou.

The resurrection of the Black Flame Ancestor of the Earth Kingdom is closely related to this power. This secret caused Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling to frown deeply, as they knew that this power might be the key to determining the future of Tianzhou.

Based on clues in ancient texts, Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling deduced that the sealed land might be located in the far north of Tianzhou, in a place known as the "Frozen City." They decided to travel there, hoping to find the power of the seal and uncover the secret of the resurrection of the Black Flame Ancestor of the Earth Kingdom.

On their journey to the frozen city, they traversed endless snow-capped mountains and glaciers, encountering ferocious ice beasts and extreme weather.

The raging blizzards constantly tested their endurance and courage, and every step on the icy plains was fraught with difficulty. The icy wind cut through their clothes like knives, making them feel the cruelty of the polar region.

However, Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling did not back down. Their eyes were firm, their hearts filled with the pursuit of the truth and their dedication to their mission.

On their journey to the Frozen City, Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling faced constant uncertainty and danger. They not only had to contend with extreme weather but also had to be on guard against ferocious beasts lurking in the icy plains.

One night, as the two were resting in an ice cave, a deep roar broke the silence.

Yun Muhan immediately became alert. He drew his longsword, its blade gleaming coldly in the dim light of the ice cave. Dugu Jianling also gripped his sword tightly, and the two stood back to back, ready to fight.

There was no fear in their eyes, only determination and vigilance. They knew that on this icy plain, any lapse in concentration could mean the end of their lives.

As the roars grew closer, a pack of dire wolves came into view.

The wolves' fur is as white as snow, blending seamlessly with their surroundings and making them difficult to spot in the snow.

Their eyes gleamed with an eerie green light, revealing their wildness and hunger. The direwolf moved with agility and swiftness, clearly a top predator on this icy plain.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling knew they couldn't back down. If they showed any fear or hesitation, the wolf pack would swarm them. They had to display an aura stronger than these beasts.

Yun Muhan's sword tip trembled slightly as he adjusted his breathing, preparing for the impending battle. Dugu Jianling held his sword level, his steps steady, ready to launch an attack at any moment.

The wolf pack moved slowly around them, searching for an opportunity to attack. These dire wolves were cunning and patient; they knew that on the ice, patience and strategy were often more important than strength.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling kept a close eye on the wolf pack's every move, their bodies tense, ready to deal with any attack.

The atmosphere inside the ice cave was extremely tense; a life-or-death struggle was about to unfold. Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling knew that this would be a battle that would test their courage and skills, and they had to give it their all to survive on this icy plain.

"Are you ready?" Yun Muhan asked in a low voice. "Anytime," Dugu Jianling replied, his voice calm and firm.

Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling displayed astonishing combat skills and teamwork when facing the wolf pack. Their swords flashed, and each swing accurately struck the wolves' vital points.

However, the wolves were far too numerous, and they had to remain highly vigilant to avoid being surrounded. The battle lasted all night, until the last Ice Wolf fell, allowing Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling to finally catch their breath. Their bodies were covered in wounds, but their eyes gleamed with the light of victory.

A few days later, they encountered another giant frost bear.

This bear is twice the size of an average bear, its fur is covered with a thick layer of frost, and it exhales white mist with every breath.

The appearance of the Frost Giant Bear put pressure on both Yun Muhan and Dugu Jianling.
